Licence & Terms

Last updated: 16 May 2026

1. About this agreement

This agreement is between you and Beauts (a UK sole-trader operation). It covers your use of the Beauts desktop app. When you install or use Beauts, you accept these terms.

2. What we're giving you

When you buy a licence, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Beauts on devices you own or control. You can install it on multiple personal devices. You may not share your licence file with people outside your household.

3. What you must not do

4. Free trial

You can use Beauts without a paid licence in trial mode (up to 50 photos per folder). Trial mode is provided as-is. We may change the trial limits at any time.

5. Updates

We release updates as we can. Major version releases (v2.0 after v1.x) may require a paid upgrade. If they do, existing customers get a loyalty discount of at least 50%. Point releases (v1.1, v1.2) are free.

If we ever discontinue Beauts, existing customers will get reasonable notice and the version they paid for will continue to work as supplied.

6. Refunds

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you ordinarily have 14 days to cancel a digital purchase. When you buy Beauts, you waive this right at checkout in order to download immediately. Beyond that, we offer a 30-day no-questions refund — see the Refund policy.

7. Privacy

Beauts runs entirely on your device. Your photos are not collected or transmitted. Full details in the Privacy policy.

8. Third-party software

Beauts includes open-source libraries. Their full licences are in the app's About panel and in the NOTICE.md file inside the application bundle.

9. Warranty

Beauts is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that it will be error-free or compatible with every hardware and software configuration.

10. Liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity.

You are responsible for keeping copies of your original photos before using any tool that copies or removes files.

11. Ending the agreement

If you breach these terms materially, we may end your licence. If your licence ends, please stop using Beauts and delete your copy.

12. Changes

The current version is always at this URL. We will give you reasonable notice of changes that affect your existing rights.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
